Screaming Shadows was formed in 1998 in Sassari by Francesco Marras, guitarist and main song-writer of the band.
In 2003 the band released its first self-produced album entitled “Behind the mask”, with current bassist Antonio Doro.
The album featured 10 original tracks of classic heavy metal and received a positive reception from the underground metal scene. The band promoted the album with gigs all around Italy.
2006 saw the band releasing its second album entitled “In the name of God”. Mysterious, energetic and melodic, the album immediately gets attention from various music labels. The band signed a deal with My Graveyard Productions
(Manilla Road, Strana Officina, etc…).
After many shows supporting “In the name of God”, Francesco Marras went back into studio with his band.
“New era of shadows”, third chapter in the band’s history, was born in 2009. Playing in many festivals both as headliner and as a support act in many Italian cities (Milano, Palermo, Roma, Cagliari, Como, Brescia, etc.), the band also managed to cross national borders and play in the UK (London, Stoke on Trent, Alsager).
2010: the band has completed the recording of its fourth full-length entitled “Night Keeper”, creating the most varied, powerful and complete album of its career.
The high quality of the songs composed by Francesco Marras drew the attention of some well-known musicians of the Italian metal scene, who were excited to bring their contribution to the new album.
2011: the band has signed a record deal with Jolly Roger Records. The new album “Night Keeper” will come out on October 3rd, preceded by the official video on September.
